The world knows Prestige Sealcoating LLC was founded in 2000. What you don’t know is we actually got our start much sooner; Prestige Sealcoating first stepped foot onto asphalt a few years before we incorporated. We were just a DBA and a dream with the ambition and drive to be the biggest sealcoater the Capital Region had ever seen.
Like any business in its infant
stage the early years were full of many mistakes, setbacks, disappointments,
arguments, and the struggle to stay in the fight and not throw in the
towel. We were and still are the
youngest owner operated Sealcoating Company in the area. My brother Eric was
twenty two years old when he erected Prestige Sealcoating. Most of our competition,
at the time was 2nd and 3rd generation sealcoaters and
pavers boasting all the equipment we could ever dream of owning. The one thing
that does not get passed down from one generation to the next is the passion
their grandfather or father may have had when they were once in my brother’s
shoes. We did not receive money or equipment from our grandparents or parents,
but we did learn the definition of work ethic and the understanding that no
matter what you cannot quit. When we would enter a neighborhood, we were greeted
with driveways sealed by other companies. Which leaves you wondering why not
us. For every one of our driveways there were ten of the competitions. Well that was then, and this is now.
Now we stand before you as veterans
in the asphalt industry. We had our time
at the bottom; we fought through hardship and humble beginnings only to come
out on top as the Capital Region’s premiere sealcoating company. The one thing
no one can teach you or buy you is experience, and when you start with nothing
everything is an experience. We now outperform
any other company in the area in residential sealcoating in both volume and
customer satisfaction. We learned one piece of equipment at a time because that
was all we had. When you start with nothing you appreciate everything and that
appreciation and pride shines through in all of our work. From the smallest
driveway to the biggest parking lot, we treat them all the same as if they were
our first. Every time we staple that Prestige Sealcoating sign at the bottom of
a driveway we never forget where we got our start.
We will also never forget that all
of this would not be possible without each and every one of you who have
supported us through the years time and time again. Customer satisfaction will
always be at the forefront of every decision we make. We would also like to thank
our friends, family, and significant others who have stuck by us through the
hard times and helped push us when we needed it.
There is no other company in this
area that will work harder not only to earn your business but to keep it in
good standing health for years to come. We
have mastered our craft and love nothing more than to show you time and time
